The most frequently asked questions…. |
| |
| How does sending paperless postcards
work? |
| |
| The paperless postcards are generated automatically
on my server according to your selection. The recipient
then gets an e-mail saying that you have sent a postcard.
He or she can click on the included link to view the card,
read your message and even print out the card (see
example). |
| |
| How long are the postcards kept? |
| |
| Postcards can be accessed for 2 weeks from the time
of sending. |
| |
| How many cards can I send? |
| |
| While your membership lasts you can send as many cards
as you wish! |
| |
| How many subjects are available for
the cards? |
| |
This varies depending on the collection. As a rule more
than 20 different subjects are available at any one time.
The collections are replaced regularly so that new subjects
are always available for you. You never have to send the
same card twice. |
| |
| Does it matter which browser the recipient
is using? |
| |
| No, the postcards can be accessed and viewed with any
browser. |
| |
| Can paperless postcards contain viruses? |
| |
| No! Since we do not send any files with the e-mail,
just the link to the page with your postcard, the e-mail
cannot contain any harmful viruses. We do however recommend
in principle that all internet users should protect themselves
with appropriate software against viruses and other dangers. |
| |
| Can other people read my postcards? |
| |
| The link that is sent with the e-mail contains an 8
figure code. It is therefore highly improbable that someone
without the link could retrieve the card. |
| |
| How long does it take for a paperless
postcard to be delivered? |
| |
| Delivery of the e-mail message takes from a few seconds
up to about 2 minutes. If there is a problem with one
of the mail servers involved, there may be a corresponding
delivery delay. After a certain number of failed attempts,
for example if the e-mail address is wrong, it can happen
that the process is aborted. |
